We Monitor

National Highways road data checked every 5 minutes — covering motorways and major A-roads across England.

🧠

We Detect

Congestion building? Incident reported? Lane closures? If it's on a road you follow, we pick it up.

📧

You Get Alerted

An email (and Telegram, if you link it) with the road, where it is, the delay, the expected clear time and a map you can zoom — so you can decide your route.

What Subscribers Get

👀

Early Heads Up

When delays start building on your road, you'll get a heads up while it's still early enough to consider a different route.

⚠️

Delay Warnings

As delays grow, you'll get updates so you know whether to wait it out or find an alternative.

🚨

Incident Alerts

Collisions, vehicle fires, road closures, police incidents — alerted as soon as National Highways reports them.

✅

Clearance Notifications

When the incident clears, you'll know — so you can get back on your normal route without guessing.

More than just alerts

You're in control of your alerts

Alerts that fit around your life — not the other way round.

🕘

Choose your alert hours

Weekdays, weekends or any time. Tap "Weekday commute" or set your own times — overnight shifts too.

⏸️

Pause with one tap

Day off or on holiday? Pause for 2 hours, until tomorrow, for a week or until you're back. Alerts switch themselves back on.

🌅

One round-up, not a pile

Outside your hours we stay quiet, then send one round-up of anything still on your roads when your hours start.

🚨

Serious incidents still reach you

Collisions, police incidents and closures on your roads can still come through outside your hours — your choice.

🗺️

A map with every alert

Zoom in on the spot, see nearby places, the delay and National Highways' expected clear time — and share it in one tap.

✏️

Change your roads any time

Add or swap roads yourself in My Alerts – the link is in every alert.

Pausing alerts doesn't pause your subscription — if you won't need us for a while, you can cancel instead.

Common Questions

What happens after my 7-day trial?
Your card is charged automatically at your plan rate on the day the trial ends, and then every month (or year) until you cancel. We email you 3 days before it ends with the date and the amount. Cancel before the trial ends and you won't be charged at all. Free trials are for new subscribers - if you have subscribed before, your plan starts on your first payment.
How do I cancel?
Online, any time: open My Alerts from the link at the bottom of any alert email and tap Cancel subscription. Lost the link? Use our billing page with the email you signed up with, or email business@uktrafficupdates.uk. We confirm every cancellation by email. You keep your alerts until the end of the period you have paid for, and if you cancel during your free trial you are not charged at all. If you cancel within 14 days of signing up, of your free trial turning into a paid plan, or of a yearly plan renewing, you pay only for the days you have used and we refund the rest.
How quickly will I get alerts?
Our system checks National Highways data every 5 minutes. When something is flagged on one of your roads, you get an email and Telegram alert shortly after. The exact timing depends on when NH publishes the update.
Will you send me alerts in the middle of the night?
Only if you want them. Alerts start on "any time", and you can pick your alert hours from the link in any alert: daytime, your weekday commute, or your own times. Outside your hours we stay quiet, then send one round-up of anything still on your roads when your hours start. Serious incidents on your roads (collisions, police incidents, closures) can still come through if you want them to.
Can I pause my alerts?
Yes, with one tap from any alert: for 2 hours, until tomorrow morning, for a week, until a date you choose, or until you turn them back on. Pausing stops the alerts, not your subscription - your plan carries on as normal and a free trial still ends on its usual date. If you won't need us for a while, you can cancel instead.
Do I need Telegram to use the service?
No — email alerts work without Telegram. But we recommend connecting Telegram for faster notifications straight to your phone. It takes 30 seconds to set up and is included free with every plan.
Are the delays accurate?
We show exactly what National Highways reports. In our experience, actual delays are often significantly longer. We include a note about this in every alert so you can plan accordingly.
Can I change my plan later?
Yes. Your roads you can change yourself any time in My Alerts (the link is in every alert). To switch to a different plan, email business@uktrafficupdates.uk and we'll do it for you: the new price applies from your next payment date, and you are never charged for two plans at once.

Time Makes the Difference

Hearing about an incident 15 minutes before it reaches our free map can be the difference between finding an alternative route and sitting in traffic wondering what's going on.

Powered by National Highways' Transport Data Feeds. UK Traffic Updates is an independent monitoring service, not affiliated with National Highways. Alerts appear on our free map 15 minutes after subscribers are sent them. New subscribers get a 7-day free trial; one free trial per person. You will not be charged during the trial period. After the trial, your card will be charged automatically at the plan rate until you cancel. You may cancel at any time online – in My Alerts (the link is in every alert email) or on our billing page with your email – or by emailing business@uktrafficupdates.uk. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, you will retain full access until then, and we confirm it by email. Reminders: we email you 3 days before a free trial ends, 7 days before every sixth monthly payment, and 30 days and 7 days before a yearly plan renews. When a free trial turns into a paid plan, and when a yearly plan renews, you have 14 days to change your mind and pay only for the days you have used. If you cancel within 14 days of signing up, you pay only for any paid days you have used. This does not affect your statutory rights. By subscribing, you confirm you understand and accept these terms. Payments securely processed by Stripe.
