Most things are answered below. If yours is not, send us a message and a person will come back to you — usually the same day.

For providers

Everything about listings, leads, credit and plans.

How do I get into my dashboard?
Go to your account and enter the email on your listing. We send a six-digit code — there is no password to remember or lose. The code lasts ten minutes.

If the code does not arrive, check your junk folder. If it is still not there, the email on your listing may be an old one — message us below and we will sort it.
What does a lead actually cost?
Between £15 and £40, shown on the lead before you claim it. The price depends on the job and the time — a 3am motorway recovery is priced differently to a flat tyre at lunchtime.

You only pay for leads you choose to take. Being listed costs nothing and always will.
What if a lead turns out to be rubbish?
Tell us within 24 hours and we refund it to your balance. Wrong number, nobody there, already recovered by somebody else, or a job that was not what the driver described — all of those qualify.

We would rather refund it than have you stop trusting the leads. Message us below with the lead number.
How do I pause while I am away?
On your dashboard there is an availability switch. Turn it off and no leads reach you.

You can set a date to come back on, and we switch you on that morning and email to say so. Leave the date blank and you stay paused until you turn it back on yourself.
How do I get the insurance badge?
Open the Insurance badge tab on your dashboard and add a photo or PDF of your current insurance certificate.

We check that the name matches your listing and the cover is in date, and email you the result. Your listing then shows “Insurance certificate checked” with the date your cover runs to.

It is free and it cannot be bought. No plan includes it.
What do the paid plans actually get me?
Position, not leads. A lead costs the same whatever plan you are on.

Priority £19 — first refusal on leads within 15 miles.
Top Spot £49 — featured, above everyone else in your category.

Worth looking at once you are live and seeing volume in your area. Not before. See the plans.
How do I cancel a plan?
Message us below or email business@uktrafficupdates.uk and we action it before your next payment date. No notice period and nothing to argue about.

Your listing stays live and free afterwards.
Can I get a refund on credit I have topped up?
Credit cannot be refunded back to your card once it is added, so only top up what you expect to use.

Bad leads are refunded — back to your balance, within 24 hours of telling us.
Somebody else has claimed my listing
Message us below with your business name and we will look into it before anyone takes ownership. We can see who claimed it and when.

This is rare and we take it seriously — a listing belongs to the business, not to whoever got to the form first.
I want my listing removed
Say so below and we take it down. No questions, no retention offer, no delay.

If you would rather keep the listing but stop the leads, the availability switch on your dashboard does that instead.

For drivers

Using the site to find help, or reporting what you have seen.

Does it cost me anything to request help?
No. Requesting help is free and always will be. Providers pay us for the introduction; you pay the provider for the work, agreed directly with them.
Who actually turns up?
A local provider who covers your area and does the kind of work you need. They contact you directly to agree the job and the price.

We are a directory, not a recovery firm. We introduce you — we do not employ the people who arrive, and we do not set their prices. Always agree price and cover before work begins.
Nobody has contacted me
If you are somewhere unsafe, ring 999. On a motorway or major A road, National Highways on 0300 123 5000 can get to you.

Then message us below — we can see who your request went to and chase them, and we want to know when it happens.
What does “Insurance certificate checked” mean?
That provider sent us its insurance certificate, the name on it matches the listing, and it showed cover on the day we checked. The badge shows the date the cover runs to and comes off on that date.

We don't confirm policies with insurers or check the quality of work, so still agree price and cover before anything starts. More about the badge
How do I report an incident I have seen?
Use the report form. It takes seconds and shows on the live map for every driver behind you.

Not while driving. Pull over somewhere safe first.
