Breakdown leads from drivers near you. Free to list, and you only pay for the ones you take.
Home › How It Works — Providers
From £15 a lead. No monthly fee, and we take nothing off the job itself.
Most requests come with photos. You see the problem and the area before you decide.
GPS-matched to your own coverage radius. Nothing from the other end of the county.
Email and Telegram the moment it lands. First to claim it gets it.
You are on the map, in search and on your own page for £0. The paid tiers buy position, not access — and a lead costs the same whatever plan you are on.
Dead number, hoax, already recovered by somebody else — report it from your account within 24 hours and the credit goes back. We would rather refund it than have you stop trusting the alerts.
A driver reading your listing can ask you to ring them. They picked you by name, so there is nothing to pay. We chase it if you miss it.
One button in your account and the alerts stop — on holiday, off the road, a quiet week. Set a date and you come back on by yourself.
A stranded driver fills in our form with their location, vehicle details and what has gone wrong. Photos are optional and most people add them.
Email and Telegram, the moment it comes in, with the location, what is needed, the urgency and the price. Only providers in range are told.
Use your pre-loaded credit balance or pay instantly via Stripe card payment. First provider to claim gets the exclusive lead.
Once claimed, you instantly get the driver's name, phone number, exact GPS location, photos, video, and full problem description.
Call immediately, confirm location, agree on pricing, and give your ETA. The driver is expecting your call and ready to go.
Arrive, do the job, collect payment directly — we take nothing off it. Good jobs get featured on our social channels (35,000+ followers), and reviews build up on your page.
Fair pricing by service type — you only pay what makes sense for your trade
A driver on your listing can ask you to ring them. That is not a purchased lead and there is no charge, ever — they picked you by name.
We email you the moment it lands. If it is still unanswered after 15 minutes we nudge you again, and tell the driver they can widen their search rather than sit waiting. Claim your listing and they reach you directly.
You never have to pay monthly. Listing is free forever and you can claim leads on credit alone. The paid tiers buy visibility and first refusal — not cheaper leads. A lead costs the same whatever plan you are on.
Add a photo or PDF of your insurance certificate. If the name on it matches your listing and the cover is in date, your listing shows Insurance certificate checked with the date your cover runs to. No tier includes it and no amount of money gets it.
Add your certificateNothing to list, and nothing monthly unless you choose a plan. You pay per lead, and only for leads you decide to take — £15 to £40 depending on the trade and the time of day, with the exact price shown on the alert before you claim.
We take no percentage of the job. What you charge the driver is entirely between you and the driver.
Report it from your account within 24 hours and you get the credit back. Dead number, obvious hoax, or somebody else had already recovered them before you rang — those are on us, not you.
What is not refundable is a lead you simply lost on price, or one you claimed and never rang. That is the job, not a fault.
To be listed, you need whatever the law requires for the work you do — that is your responsibility either way, and we do not check it on a free listing.
To show the Insurance certificate checked badge, yes: add your insurance certificate and the badge shows the date your cover runs to. It comes off automatically on that date. We email you thirty days before that happens, then again a week before, so it should never catch you out.
Leads are first come, first served, so in practice the firms that do well are the ones with alerts on their phone. Once you have claimed one, ring the driver straight away — they are stood at the side of a road waiting for you, and they were told to expect your call.
No, and that is deliberate. It is based only on your insurance certificate: the name on it must match your listing and the cover must be in date. We check it and email you the result. It is free, and no tier includes it.
If it could be bought it would mean nothing to the driver reading it, and then it would be worth nothing to you either. Add your certificate.
No. Your listing is public because that is the point of a directory — your name, number, area and trades. Nothing else goes anywhere, and we do not pass your details to other lead companies or marketing lists.
Driver details work the other way round: a driver's phone number only reaches you once you have claimed their lead, and only you.
Likely one of the 3,600+ listings we built from public business data to make the map useful from day one. It is yours to take over — claim it here, confirm the email, and you can edit everything on it. There is no charge and nothing is switched on that you did not ask for.
A person. Support & Help has the contact form and it reaches us directly, or email support@uktrafficupdates.uk. We would much rather hear it from you than find out from a driver.
Short version: turn up, be straight about the price, and answer the phone. Everything below follows from those three. Drivers who have a good experience come back and tell people, and that is the whole business — yours and ours.
Within five minutes. The driver has been told to expect your call and is stood somewhere they do not want to be. This is the one that matters most, and it is the one drivers judge the whole site on.
Valid public liability cover — £2M or more — and every licence and permit your trade requires. That is your responsibility; the free insurance badge shows drivers your certificate has been checked and the date your cover runs to.
Fair market rates, all of it stated up front, no surprises added at the end. What you charge is your business; changing it halfway through is not.
Give an ETA and stick to it, or ring and say so. Running twenty minutes late is fine. Going silent is not.
To the standard you would want on your own vehicle. Clear pricing, a receipt, and the job finished. A branded vehicle helps — the driver is handing their car to a stranger.
Your login is yours alone. Pay for the lead before you contact the driver. No invented reviews, in either direction. If something goes wrong on a job, tell us before the driver does.
Almost nobody ever sees this. It is here because the firms who do the job properly deserve to know we act on the ones who do not — a directory that tolerates bad operators is worth nothing to the good ones.
