UK Traffic Updates is an independent service and is NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to National Highways (formerly Highways England), Transport for London, or any other government body or public authority in any way.
We are a private, independently operated platform. We publish traffic information and connect drivers with independent breakdown and recovery providers; we do not carry out recoveries or repairs ourselves.

We do not provide information about road surface quality, speed limit changes, or pedestrian/cyclist safety. You are responsible for assessing road and weather conditions before and during travel.

A Claimed or Verified badge shows that the business has confirmed its listing with us. It is not a check of insurance, licences, prices or the quality of work.
All listed service providers are independent third parties who are NOT employees or agents of UK Traffic Updates. They operate independently, set their own prices, and are solely responsible for the quality and legality of their services. Providers must hold their own insurance, licenses, and permits as required by UK law.

While we attempt to maintain accurate listings, contact information may be outdated, service areas and hours may have changed, and pricing information is indicative only. Always contact service providers directly to confirm details before engaging their services.
UK Traffic Updates is a marketplace and directory platform. We connect drivers with independent roadside assistance providers. We do not employ, manage, or directly control any service providers listed on our platform.
Lead prices shown on the platform are for the lead fee only and do not represent the cost of the actual roadside service. Service pricing is determined by individual providers. A claimed lead is refundable only on the grounds set out in section 5 — a dead number, a hoax, a driver already recovered, a job outside your area, or a duplicate. It is not refundable simply because it did not convert.
Drivers are responsible for verifying that any provider they engage holds appropriate insurance and licensing for the services required. We encourage all drivers to request proof of insurance before work begins.
Paid placements and add-ons (such as Priority, Top Spot, City and Boosts) buy visibility only. They are not an endorsement or a quality check. Featured places are shared in rotation — never exclusive — and featured providers are not preferred or recommended over anyone else.
Leads are provided "AS IS" based on information submitted by drivers through our breakdown request form.

Service providers purchasing leads must contact leads promptly and professionally, verify all information directly with the customer, comply with all UK data protection laws (GDPR, DPA 2018), not share or resell lead information to third parties, and maintain appropriate insurance and professional licenses.
Leads are sold on a pay-per-lead basis. We do not refund a lead because it did not convert, because the driver chose another provider, or because they changed their mind. You are buying the introduction, not the job.
We do refund a lead that was not what it should have been. Report it from your account within 24 hours of claiming and we will look at it — typically the same day. Grounds include:
Approved refunds are returned as account credit, usually within a few hours. If we decline one we will tell you why, and you can reply and ask us to look again.
Fair use applies: three approved refunds per provider in any rolling 30 days. If you are hitting that regularly, something is wrong with the leads we are sending you and we would rather fix it than cap you — contact us and we will look at your area and settings together.
Unless explicitly stated otherwise, leads are sold exclusively to one service provider per breakdown request. We do not sell the same lead to multiple competing businesses. However, the customer may have contacted other providers independently.
To the fullest extent the law allows, UK Traffic Updates, its owners, operators, employees, and affiliates are not liable for losses, damages, or consequences arising from use of this platform.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, UK Traffic Updates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our platform or any services obtained through it.
Nothing in this disclaimer excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that the law does not allow us to exclude or limit.
If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are not affected. Anything you pay us for — such as Early Warning alerts or a report — must be as described and provided with reasonable care and skill. Our Terms & Conditions explain cancellations and refunds.
YOU are solely responsible for: all driving and travel decisions, vehicle safety and roadworthiness, compliance with UK traffic laws and the Highway Code, assessing weather and road conditions, planning alternative routes, and verifying information from official sources.
Traffic information on UK Traffic Updates may include reports submitted by road users through social media messages, website submission forms, and community incident reports.
User-submitted traffic reports are NOT verified, confirmed, or endorsed by UK Traffic Updates. Reports may be inaccurate, exaggerated, false, or outdated by the time they are published.
We are NOT responsible for accuracy or reliability of user-submitted reports, offensive or inappropriate user comments, harm resulting from acting on user-submitted information, or compliance of user content with UK laws. While we may moderate user submissions, we do not guarantee removal of all inappropriate content. Moderation is performed on a best-efforts basis and we reserve the right to remove any content without notice.
UK Traffic Updates may contain links to external websites including National Highways, service provider websites, social media platforms, and news sources.
We have NO control over and assume NO responsibility for the content, accuracy, or availability of external websites, privacy practices of third-party sites, or products/services offered by external sites. Accessing external websites is entirely at your own risk.
UK Traffic Updates reserves the right to modify, update, or replace this disclaimer at any time without prior notice. It is your responsibility to review this disclaimer periodically, check the "Last Updated" date, and cease using the website if you disagree with any changes.
Continued use of UK Traffic Updates after changes to this disclaimer constitutes acceptance of those changes. Changes never take away your statutory rights, and they do not alter the terms of something you have already paid for.
